Kathryn Haigh

Kathryn Haigh joined Services Australia as Chief Counsel in September 2020, where she leads a team of over 200 people. Previously, Kathryn was General Counsel at AUSTRAC, Australia’s anti-money laundering regulator. There she led significant civil penalty proceedings, including the regulator’s landmark case against the Westpac Banking Corporation.

Kathryn has a background in law enforcement and litigation and has held other senior legal positions in the Australian Public Service.

Kathryn also has private practice experience, including acting on behalf of clients defending civil penalty proceedings.
