Tim Lear

Tim Lear is the General Counsel and National Manager of Legal and Enforcement at AUSTRAC.  Tim leads AUSTRAC’s enforcement and legal practice, including its in-house advisory work and AUSTRAC’s litigation involving alleged contraventions of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006.

Tim has extensive experience in regulatory and legal roles in Australia and overseas within the Australian Government and in the private sector. He has a particular focus on enforcement, litigation and the effective implementation of regulatory frameworks.
